Dustin Ward is a law enforcement professional and tactical instructor currently serving with the Russell County Sheriff’s Office, where he works as an investigator and is an active member of the SWAT and Dive Teams. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Organizational Leadership and is a certified instructor, bringing a disciplined, structured approach to training shaped by years of operational and instructional experience.

Dustin is a retired U.S. Army Master Sergeant of the 75th Ranger Regiment, where he served as a Reconnaissance Platoon Sergeant among other roles. During his time in special operations, he specialized in sniper operations, tactical reconnaissance, and both physical and technical surveillance. His experience also includes extensive work in close-quarters battle (CQB), explosive breaching, and small-unit tactics, developed through high-tempo operational deployments and leadership roles with over 45 months in combat.

While assigned to the 75th Ranger Regiment, Dustin also supported interagency missions and was attached to the C.I.A.’s Ground Branch, contributing to sensitive operations that required precision, adaptability, and a high level of operational trust.

Following his military service, Dustin continued supporting national security efforts as a contractor with the C.I.A.’s Global Response Staff. In this role, he specialized in surveillance, surveillance detection, counter-surveillance, and executive protection, while operating in austere and high-threat environments across the globe.

Known for his direct, no-nonsense teaching style, Dustin combines combat-proven experience with real-world law enforcement application. His instruction focuses on decision-making under pressure, disciplined execution, and practical tactics that translate directly to the street—ensuring students leave better prepared for the realities of modern operational environments.
